Atari Big Blue transformer capacitor 27,000µf - 25v with screw terminals. Atari video games are nearly 40 years old, and the transformer filter caps are a common problem and should be replaced.
Reference Atari part number: 29-053.
Some of the common problems due to a bad transformer filter cap:
- Picture is jittery
- Light streaks/hum bar/wave
- Blank raster
- Horizontal hold will not lock-in
- Vertical hold will not lock (rolling screen)
- The game intermittently not powering on, to not powering on at all
- Resetting
This can be used to replace the 30,000µf capacitor in Williams pinball machines.
